<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Sign_em_up000000</b></div><div>I gotta say no disrespect intended but I sincerely hope your wrong on this, this is such a tragedy I still can't wrap my head around it. The guy was only 41 years old and I'm not sure which daughter it was but I believe I heard it was his 13 year old which makes all of this so much worse. They both had their whole lives in front of them. I haven't given it much thought because I'm still in shock but if it was then that is atrocious. My initial thought was that it was caused by a equipment malfunction and I sincerely hope that's what it was because flying to low with all the smoke and pollution is completely nonsensical. Man, I'm still having a hard time even talking about it.

I remember when I was a kid, I had a Kobe jersey #8 and a pair of yellow shorts and every time I played I was Kobe unless they where dirty then I was Carter (not that I was any good) but damn the guy was only 9 years older than me and his daughter was 10 years older than mine... It really puts things into perspective... Such a sad time😩 I grew up watching this guy. I still remember the game where he dropped 81 points on us in the second half IIRC I always had a chip on my shoulder about it but now I can't help but smile at the complete domination that this guy would display on a nightly basis...truly one of the greats.

I'm sure the kings and ducks will honor him but it never seems like it's enough in these cases, I feel empty inside like when DOC Holliday died.

Sorry for the rant but it's hard to put into words.</div></div>

Not a rant at all -- a justified message from the heart. Thanks for sharing.
