Nhl 31 in 31series is a disgrace

Équipe: 2019-20 Sharks de San Jose
Explications
Calling Sharks director of scouting Ron Wilson Jr. and saying Merkley will arrive this season and that Gambrell is our number one prospect, no mention of Chekhovich (who is very likely to make the team) and no mention of Chmelevski (likely won’t make the team but is a standout player) disgraceful writing and poor fact checking.

Is this surprising... Literally everything the NHL/NHL network puts out is bad, seemingly on purpose, just to stir up discussion in August...

Not surprising...you just hope that one day, some day they can get something right. Their little clips with the players about their favorite food etc is so childish and terribly corny making the players look dumb. They’re a flat out embarrassment.

You’d hope a CALI team that has helped popularize hockey (with the Ducks and kings) which as much sustained success (we got no bling to show for it tho maybe that’s why) would attract better attention/ quality looks

Especially since we have played the 2nd most playoff games of any team the last 20 seasons.

I finally gave in and bought a subscription to the Athletic during the NHL Draft and I love it. I'm on it almost as much as I'm on Capfriendly.

I use it as well. I like the fact that a lot of really good writers are there with quality content. Happy to pay for that. I just find it disappointing that the flagship site for pro hockey has such miserable writing.

However, Kurz’s writing is hit and miss and leave something to be desired. I really miss the days of David Pollak and The Neutral on FtF.

Imagine assuming that someone else is assuming something. Are we at the nexus of the universe? Do you know what nexus means? Probably not, “beast mode”.

No I’m just saying don’t think it’s factual or even worth reading. You are getting butthurt about it when you assumed something. You set too high of an expectation for them. All it is, is opinions.

The fact that we pay for the Athletic gets rid of writers writing stories to draw hits to their page increasing their value to advertisers. I have no idea about NHL.com but I know mostly use their stats page and thats about it. I did read the SJS 31 in 31 after I heard it was bad now if someone said it was a good article I probably would've just added it to my reading list.
